The Perfumer's Story by Azzi After Hours is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2017, created by Azzi Glasser. After Hours opens with Neroli, Ylang-Ylang, and Freesia, settles into a heart of Canadian Hemlock, Datura, Belladonna, and Vetiver, and dries down to a base of Musk, Patchouli, Benzoin, and Frankincense. The Perfumer's Story by Azzi's After Hours carries an Acquired verdict, a floral-led wear.

A dark, narcotic floral with oud: datura, ylang-ylang and freesia over oud, vetiver and rosewood, closing on patchouli, benzoin and olibanum. A seductive night and cold-season scent made for a London department store, with only a few wearer reports to go on.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Fall Winter
Also Works:
Spring

Autumn and winter take every vote, which suits a dense oud, patchouli and benzoin base, while spring is half and summer only one vote. One wearer notes that others find it bright and spring-like, so the florals can lift it.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date
Also Works:
Formal

Every time-of-day vote points to night and only one to day, which matches the brand idea of a scent for after hours. It is a date and evening scent rather than a daytime or office one.

About

After Hours is the brand's scent of poisonous flowers, a fragrance it calls beautiful, forbidden and impossible to resist. It was made in 2017 as an exclusive for a London department store, started from scratch rather than from the perfumer's archive, and is now sold by the brand as an eau de parfum in 30 and 150 ml. Ylang-ylang, freesia and neroli open it, and the heart is a narcotic mix of datura and belladonna with oud, vetiver and rosewood, with hemlock in the current copy. Patchouli, benzoin, olibanum and musk give a warm, sensual trail. A review finds a rush of ylang ylang and neroli with a floral oud, a sweet benzoin that gives way to a woodier olibanum and a vetiver that shines through. One wearer finds the florals dangerous and poisonous, joined to a medicinal oud, like a true witches brew. There is little wear evidence: the few votes split on longevity, the sillage is mostly moderate, and every time-of-day vote but one says night. Autumn and winter take every season vote, although one wearer notes others find it a bright spring scent. It is listed as unisex and a review says it defies gender classification. It is a challenging, provocative scent for evenings and the colder months, for wearers who want something uninhibited and a little dark.
