Experimental Perfume Club Essentials: how it works and what it uses

9 materials, matched to 38 notes. Made by Experimental Perfume Club

Bespoke: Experimental Perfume Club blends your perfume from these materials.

Experimental Perfume Club (EPC) is a London perfume brand built around blending. Its Essentials are nine minimalist Eaux de Parfum, made to be worn alone or combined. You can try them at home with a discovery set, or blend with its blending masters in its London boutique. EPC also sells creation sets for blending at home. This is what we call Bespoke: a perfume made with you or for you.

On this page we list all nine Essentials and match each one to the notes we hold. Our matching leans towards resin, spicy and amber notes.

EPC sells direct at experimentalperfumeclub.com, in pounds. At the last check, each Essential was £125 for 50ml or £35 for 10ml, the Discovery Set Essentials, with all nine, was £55, and a creation set was £100. The Luxe Blending Experience, at 9 Gee's Court in Marylebone, London, was £195 for one guest, and each guest takes home a 50ml Eau de Parfum. Checked 28 Oct 2026.

What you can make with it

Wear one Essential alone, or layer two or more to make a scent of your own. In the boutique, a blending master guides you through finding it. Add what you make to your collection as a custom perfume and tick the Essentials you used.

The materials

What each material maps to in our vocabulary. The mapping is ours: a material may be a single ingredient or an accord built from many, and a note stands for how it smells, not for what is in it. Percentages are relative weights inside our scent model, not ingredient percentages.
