Alexandria UK Amber Night is an Eau de Parfum. Amber Night opens with Bergamot, Grapefruit, and Pink Pepper, settles into a heart of Patchouli and Rose, and dries down to a base of Musk, Amber, and Labdanum. Alexandria UK's Amber Night carries an Acquired verdict, a amber-led wear.

A budget take on Dior's Ambre Nuit, a resinous amber-rose fragrance. The pink pepper and grapefruit opening into a rose-patchouli heart tracks the original's shape, but the amber base here is thinner and less resinous, with noticeably shorter longevity than the Dior original's signature staying power.

About

Amber Night is presented as an interpretation of Dior's Ambre Nuit, opening with a bright spark of pink pepper and grapefruit over bergamot before revealing a deep, resinous amber character. The initial spice quickly meets a velvety Turkish rose in the heart, aiming for the balanced, opulent feel the original is known for. The base of amber, labdanum, and musk provides a smooth, warm foundation. Where this version falls short of its reference is richness and persistence: the original Ambre Nuit is celebrated for an exceptionally resinous, long-wearing amber base, while this rendition thins out noticeably after the first couple of hours, with the rose and amber losing definition rather than deepening. Projection is moderate at best. It captures the pink pepper-rose-amber silhouette convincingly enough for a first impression, and works well for cool-weather evenings, but should not be expected to match the original's longevity or complexity over a full wear.
