Bleu Oceanic opens with a genuinely sunlit wave of citrus - lemon, grapefruit and bergamot sparkling together, brightened by lime and mandarin for a sharp, invigorating zest that recalls the golden-green luminosity of Roja Dove's Oceania. Where Oceania builds this into a full orchestral citrus-aromatic work with rosemary, thyme and litsea cubeba, Bleu Oceanic keeps things simpler, drifting into a heart of generic coastal herbs, geranium and a clean, breezy jasmine-marine accord that evokes the same open-water mood without quite the same complexity. The base settles onto mossy, sandalwood-orris territory warmed by amber, offering a lasting if less powerful presence than the original's benchmark performance. It's a genuinely enjoyable aquatic-aromatic scent for warm weather, at its best from gym runs to yacht decks, even if it can't match Oceania's famous tenacity past the six-hour mark.
