Chanel Allure Homme Sport is a 2004 modern classic built on juicy orange, aldehydes and sea notes over a cedar-pepper heart and a soft vanilla-tonka-musk base, and it remains one of the most recognisable fresh masculine fragrances on the market. Clean Shaven's version opens with a similarly bright citrus-aquatic burst that is honestly a close match in the first ten minutes, but the blend flattens out quickly - the aldehydic sparkle and the creamy orange accord that make the original feel so polished are replaced by a simpler, more linear citrus-musk combination. Where Chanel's cedar and pepper heart lends real structure and the elemi resin gives a subtle waxy depth, the dupe's middle stage is thinner and less textured. The vanilla-musk base is present but doesn't build the same soft, powdery warmth, and overall wear time sits well below the original's six-plus hours. Still, for the price, it's a reasonable stand-in for a quick spray before the gym or a casual daytime errand where the fine details of Chanel's blend won't be scrutinised at close range. Expect a fresh, clean, citrus-forward scent for two to four hours rather than the all-day sophistication of the real Allure Homme Sport.
