The opening is tart and juicy: black currant and grapefruit paired with sicilian mandarin give a sharp, slightly sour fruitiness that's immediately distinctive against the sweeter fruit openings found in some of the brand's other releases. The heart is where the ambition shows - pear, jasmine, lily of the valley, tuberose, ylang-ylang, pink pepper and orange blossom combine into a dense, layered floral bouquet meant to feel abundant and multi-faceted rather than built around one or two hero notes. The base brings orris root (the famously expensive, powdery iris-root material), musk, sandalwood and cashmeran together for a soft, radiant, slightly powdery finish that keeps the floral heart from feeling too sharp or juvenile.
