Blue Musk

Blue Musk has no single designer original behind it. Multiple attar houses sell a fragrance under this name, from mass-market aquatic musks to rare oud-and-musk blends, and Pearl's own take sits at the accessible, everyday end of that spread. It opens with a crisp citrus flick of bergamot and lemon before settling into a clean, cool musk heart lightly brushed with lavender, and the base is a soft amber and sandalwood rather than anything sweet or heavy. There's a faint aquatic quality running through it, reminiscent of the mainstream sport-fresh musks it's positioned against, but without the sharper synthetic edge some of those carry. As an oil it stays close to the skin, with a couple of hours less throw than a spray equivalent, though the musk itself lingers quietly for most of a working day. It's an easy, inoffensive scent rather than a distinctive one, built to be worn often rather than noticed from across a room, and it succeeds at that modest brief.
