Hudson Valley is Pearl Fragrances' Extrait de Parfum take on Gissah's Hudson Valley, a fruity-oriental fragrance that has become one of the most frequently cloned scents to come out of the modern niche Middle Eastern fragrance scene. The opening keeps the original's punchy fruit signature: black currant paired with saffron and a touch of bergamot for lift, giving the same jammy, faintly spiced first impression that made Hudson Valley a favourite among fragrance enthusiasts. Rose and jasmine build a floral heart, echoing the original's own rosy transition, though the blend is simpler here and misses some of the fuller, guaiac-wood-tinted depth that Gissah layers underneath. The base settles into amber, patchouli, cedar, and musk for a warm, slightly sweet finish, capturing the general shape of the original's amber-patchouli drydown, even though it fades sooner and sits closer to the skin than the real Hudson Valley's noticeably strong projection.
