Jubilation

Jubilation follows Amouage Jubilation XXV Man, widely regarded as a benchmark incense fragrance created by Bertrand Duchaufour. The extrait opens on the same bright, fruity note the original is known for, a juicy orange sharpened by cinnamon and ginger rather than a plain citrus blast. From there the real Jubilation builds into an elaborate frankincense-led heart with guaiac wood, dark berry and honey, developing into a refined oud, myrrh and opoponax base that reviewers call a resinous masterpiece. This version keeps the shape of that journey, honey and guaiac wood in the heart, oud and myrrh in the base, but the resins read thinner and the composition settles faster into a simpler warm spicy-woody finish rather than the original's slow, dramatic transformation. It captures the festive, spiced orange opening convincingly; it does not chase the frankincense depth that makes Amouage's version a niche icon, but it offers an accessible taste of the idea.
