Second Wife Citrus is Pearl Fragrances' own twist on the well-known Second Wife attar name, not a dupe of any specific designer perfume - as with the standard version, this is a traditional Arabic attar style rather than a copied formula. Where the original Second Wife leads with berries and pear, this variant swaps in a brighter grapefruit and bergamot opening, giving it a crisper, more citrus-forward first impression before a touch of raspberry sweetness comes through. The lily and vanilla heart is softer and quieter than the fruit-heavy top, and the musk and amber base keeps things warm rather than sharp, tying it back to the same comforting, easy-wear family as the rest of the Second Wife line. It reads noticeably fresher and less gourmand than its sibling, making it a better fit for daytime and warmer weather. As an oil, the citrus doesn't last as long as the deeper musk base, so the fragrance shifts from bright and zesty in the first hour to a soft, sweet skin musk by the afternoon.
