Highest Point For Men is Perfume Parlour's answer to Roja Parfums Apex, a leather fragrance for men. The house lists a citrus opening of bergamot, lemon, mandarin orange and orange. The heart is cistus incanus, jasmine and pineapple, which gives the fruit a resinous, slightly green edge. The base is very long: cypress, balsam fir, leather, oakmoss, tobacco, patchouli, rum, olibanum, sandalwood, musk, galbanum, cashmere wood, juniper berries, amber, labdanum, ambergris, elemi resin and benzoin. Reviewers describe the original as an old-school chypre that moves from pineapple and citrus into dark oakmoss and dry leather. A budget blend cannot keep that many facets apart, so expect the citrus and pineapple to fade sooner and the oakmoss, leather and amber to blur into one woody base. It suits autumn and winter best. It comes in 13, 30, 50 and 100 ml.
