Vendome For Women

Boucheron Place Vendome is an elegant floral-gourmand - sparkling pink pepper and orange blossom over a heart of jasmine, peony and creamy honey-praline, settling into benzoin and cedar. It reads sophisticated and softly sweet rather than candied. Vendome reaches for that refined floral effect with a broad, busy pyramid. It opens fruity-aromatic with bergamot, tangerine, apricot and a green basil twist, then unfolds a lush white-floral heart of jasmine, tuberose, ylang-ylang and orange blossom touched with narcissus. The base brings a powdery-sweet warmth of tonka bean, vanilla, benzoin and musk over a whisper of oakmoss and ambergris. Perfume Parlour captures the honeyed elegance up top, but the composition reads a little flatter and sweeter than the Boucheron, and the drydown loses cohesion sooner - the individual notes drift apart rather than melting together. Longevity is moderate. An elegant, sensual white-floral for spring and cooler-weather evenings and dressed-up occasions.
