Vendome For Women

Perfume Parlour Vendome For Women is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2013. Vendome For Women opens with Bergamot, Tangerine, Apricot, and Bitter Orange, settles into a heart of Jasmine, Tuberose, Ylang-Ylang, and Orange Blossom, and dries down to a base of Tonka Bean, Benzoin, Vanilla, and Oakmoss. Perfume Parlour's Vendome For Women carries a Statement verdict, a floral-led wear.

Vendome chases Boucheron Place Vendome, the elegant 2013 floral-gourmand. The honeyed white-floral heart of jasmine and orange blossom over a benzoin-tonka warmth is recognisable, but Perfume Parlour flattens the original's refined sweetness and lets the drydown break apart sooner.

About

Boucheron Place Vendome is an elegant floral-gourmand - sparkling pink pepper and orange blossom over a heart of jasmine, peony and creamy honey-praline, settling into benzoin and cedar. It reads sophisticated and softly sweet rather than candied. Vendome reaches for that refined floral effect with a broad, busy pyramid. It opens fruity-aromatic with bergamot, tangerine, apricot and a green basil twist, then unfolds a lush white-floral heart of jasmine, tuberose, ylang-ylang and orange blossom touched with narcissus. The base brings a powdery-sweet warmth of tonka bean, vanilla, benzoin and musk over a whisper of oakmoss and ambergris. Perfume Parlour captures the honeyed elegance up top, but the composition reads a little flatter and sweeter than the Boucheron, and the drydown loses cohesion sooner - the individual notes drift apart rather than melting together. Longevity is moderate. An elegant, sensual white-floral for spring and cooler-weather evenings and dressed-up occasions.
