This fragrance opens with a genuinely bright citrus rush of mandarin and orange, sharpened by bergamot and a spark of ginger, chasing the same sunlight-on-water feeling that made the fragrance it's inspired by a warm-weather favourite. Neroli adds a touch of green freshness through the short-lived heart stage. The base is minimal by design, a soft musk with a whisper of amber standing in for the original's ambergris-driven warmth, which means the whole composition stays close and quiet rather than radiating outward. Longevity is limited, as it is with the citrus original, so this is very much a reapply-through-the-day scent. For hot weather and a genuinely fresh, uncomplicated citrus mood, it does the job convincingly for the first hour or two.
