CD78 - Miss D. (1947 version)

Jubilee is clear that CD78 is based on the original 1947 Miss Dior, not the fruitier 2021 reissue sold today - a distinction that matters, since the two share only a name. This is a classic aldehydic green chypre: aldehydes, galbanum and clary sage over a narcissus, iris and jasmine heart, resting on oakmoss, leather, vetiver and labdanum. The structure honours the vintage formula's serious, mossy character reasonably well, though the leather and oakmoss facets are noticeably tamer here than in the real thing, which built its reputation on a bold, almost masculine depth. A rare and interesting budget route into a genuinely vintage style rather than the modern Miss Dior most people know.
