MB191 opens with lavender, pineapple, bergamot and lemon verbena, matching Legend's fresh aromatic-fruity top well, then moves into a red apple, dried fruits, oakmoss, geranium, coumarin and rose heart before settling on tonka bean and sandalwood. It's a solid rendering of one of the most popular modern men's fougeres, keeping the fresh-sweet balance intact. The tonka-coumarin base reads thinner and less rounded here, missing the smooth, slightly powdery sandalwood depth that makes Legend such an easy, likeable everyday scent.
