Le Chameau Atelier Intense is an Eau de Toilette. Atelier Intense opens with Bergamot, settles into a heart of Spicy, Cedar, Sandalwood, and Tonka Bean, and dries down to a base of Musk, Amber, Vetiver, and Oakmoss. Le Chameau's Atelier Intense carries an Acquired verdict, an aromatic-led wear.

Compiled from the house's own product notes: a simple bergamot opening leads into a spiced sandalwood-cedar-tonka heart, closing on a vetiver-amber-musk-oakmoss base - a fuller, warmer aromatic woody take on the standard Atelier.

About

Atelier Intense keeps the opening simple - just bergamot, giving a clean citrus lift before the rest of the composition takes over, in contrast to the peppery, multi-note top of the standard Atelier. The heart is where this version distinguishes itself: an unspecified spice accord joins sandalwood, cedar and tonka bean for a warm, aromatic-woody core with a gourmand-adjacent sweetness from the tonka. This is noticeably richer and more layered than the base Atelier's agarwood-amber heart. The base continues the theme with vetiver, amber, musk and oakmoss - four notes working together for a fuller, longer-lasting woody-amber drydown than the standard version offers, with vetiver adding a dry, earthy edge that oakmoss reinforces. Overall Atelier Intense reads as a fuller, spicier, more aromatic-woody fragrance than its stablemate - a reasonable 'intense' step-up within the same citrus-to-woody structure, better suited to cooler weather and evening wear thanks to its heavier base.
