Sora Dora Kamel Oud is an Extrait de Parfum launched in 2021, created by Amélie Bourgeois, Anne-Sophie Behaghel, and Camille Chemardin. Sora Dora's Kamel Oud carries an Acquired verdict, a woody-led wear.

Kamel Oud is a seriously divisive beast, a smoky, spicy oud that screams 'manly' and definitely isn't for everyone. Expect a love-it-or-hate-it reaction; if you're after a crowd-pleaser, look elsewhere. But if you like a challenge, this is a unique ride.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

Fall Winter

A cold-weather scent - best worn in winter and autumn.

Best Occasions

Best For:

Date

With its long-lasting performance and moderate sillage, Kamel Oud is too intense for office wear. Its bold, smoky, and spicy character makes it better suited for evening dates or formal events where it can make a statement, especially in cooler weather.

Declarable allergens

We derive these from the materials behind this fragrance's notes, not from the bottle. Each one is likely, not confirmed. The list is partial - the box can name others.

In standard patch-test panels

About

This one opens with a sharp, almost abrasive hit of aldehydes and bright bergamot, quickly ushering in a whirlwind of potent spices - think cumin, cardamom, and pink pepper creating an aromatic, almost savoury punch. The heart dives deep into smoky woods; cade and guaiac wood fuse with a robust oud, evoking campfire embers and dry cedar. A subtle hint of raspberry and rose attempts to soften the edges, but the dominant character remains intensely woody, resinous, and deeply animalic, settling into a long-lasting, powerful base of labdanum and papyrus.
