Parfums Caron Muguet du Bonheur is an Eau de Toilette launched in 1952, created by Michel Morsetti. Muguet du Bonheur opens with Bergamot, Neroli, Orange Blossom, and Lily of the Valley, settles into a heart of Rose, Jasmine, Magnolia, and Lilac, and dries down to a base of Musk, Sandalwood, and Heliotrope. Parfums Caron's Muguet du Bonheur carries a Statement verdict, a floral-led wear.

The Eau de Toilette version of Caron's 1952 lily of the valley classic, lighter and less rich than the Eau de Parfum but keeping the same bracing, green muguet opening and soft musk-sandalwood drydown. A divisive vintage-style floral that some find pure and elegant, others soapy and old-fashioned.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Spring Summer

A warm-weather pick - the bright lily of the valley and citrus notes are at their best in spring and summer, unchanged from the Eau de Parfum's seasonal fit.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Casual
Also Works:
Office Date

Its lighter Eau de Toilette projection and clean white floral profile suit office and casual wear well, though it lacks the gravitas for formal events and is not a sport scent.

Declarable allergens

We derive these from the materials behind this fragrance's notes, not from the bottle. Each one is likely, not confirmed. The list is partial - the box can name others.

About

This Eau de Toilette carries Michel Morsetti's original 1952 composition at a lighter concentration than the Eau de Parfum: an intense, green lily of the valley opening tempered by neroli and bergamot, a lush lilac, jasmine and magnolia heart, and a soft musk, heliotrope and sandalwood base. As an Eau de Toilette it wears closer to the skin and fades sooner than the EDP, but keeps the same fresh, airy quality throughout. Caron sells it in a refillable spray bottle as part of its heritage range, and community sources note it remains a divisive scent - beloved by lily of the valley purists, less so by those who find the vintage aldehydic-soapy character dated.
