The Night

The Night pairs down to just three listed notes across its structure - rose up top, then oud through both the heart and base, joined by amber in the drydown. Rose provides a brief, cool floral opening before the fragrance moves quickly into its real subject: oud. The note carries through the entire middle and base stages, giving the composition a sustained, dry, woody-medicinal character that dominates the wear. Amber joins in the base, adding a warm, resinous sweetness that softens the oud's austerity without erasing it. As a companion release to The Fire, The Night reads as the rosier, more floral-tinged half of the pair - still built on a dense oud foundation, but opening on rose rather than incense, making it a slightly softer entry point into French Avenue's oud-driven men's line.
