Gritti Duchessa is an Extrait de Parfum launched in 2020, created by Luca Gritti. Duchessa opens with Bitter Orange, Saffron, Peach, and Black Cherry, settles into a heart of Dark Chocolate, Jasmine, and Clove, and dries down to a base of Brown Sugar, Iris, and Almond. Gritti's Duchessa carries a Statement verdict, a sweet-led wear.

Divisive, though a triumph for some. If you're after a dark, opulent cherry that swerves the cough syrup vibe, Duchessa delivers. But for others, the saffron's too screechy or the cherry too fleeting, leaving a Baccarat Rouge 540-esque drydown that's not for everyone. Definitely sample first.

Duchessa opens with a burst of dark, boozy black cherry and sweet peach, quickly intertwined with the distinctive spiciness of saffron and a twist of bitter orange. As it settles, a rich, almost edible heart emerges, blending decadent dark chocolate with a warm clove spice and the heady whisper of jasmine. The base is an intoxicating trio of powdery iris, creamy almond with a marzipan edge, and rich brown sugar, creating a sweet, luxurious finish that lingers.
