Lush Sappho is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2019, created by Emma Dick. Lush's Sappho carries a Statement verdict, a sweet-led wear.

A truly divisive creation, Sappho is either a poetic masterpiece of powdery, smoky florals or a cloying vintage nightmare. You'll either adore its unique, melancholic charm or wonder what all the fuss is about.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Sappho opens with an intriguing mix of dry, herbal iris and a hint of boozy tonka. This quickly deepens into a smooth, creamy sandalwood heart, interwoven with a rich, ripe jasmine that manages to be sensual without being indolic. As it settles, a warm, slightly sweet tobacco note emerges, grounded by a soft, powdery vanilla and tonka bean base that lingers with a vintage elegance.
