This is a divisive one. Dolceacqua aims for modern elegance but some find it too vintage, even 'matronly'. Dolceacqua opens with a distinctly green and fresh burst of lily of the valley and ivy, subtly touched by a watery, almost coastal, breeze. The heart is a bouquet of delicate yellow florals, primarily mimosa and almond blossom, which lend a soft, powdery sweetness, balanced by the richer ylang-ylang. The drydown settles into a classic, musky oakmoss base, with a hint of warm saffron and resinous benzoin providing a comforting depth.
