Casabella Twilight opens with an unusually layered fruity accord - dried fruits and rhubarb bring a tart, concentrated sweetness, while strawberry adds juiciness and anise a faint aniseed spice, all lifted by bergamot. It's a busier top than most budget fruity-florals attempt. The heart is genuinely lush: gardenia, rose, ylang-ylang, pear and orange blossom stack into a white-floral-forward accord with real body. The gardenia and ylang-ylang combination in particular gives this a creamy, slightly tropical quality that lifts it above a generic rose-based heart. The base then pivots toward something more serious - oakmoss, musk, patchouli and leather combine for a genuinely chypre-adjacent finish, giving Twilight a dry, earthy, slightly leathery drydown that contrasts nicely with the fruity-floral opening and heart.
