About

Magical Moment Night opens with just raspberry - a tart, juicy fruit note that provides brief brightness before the composition moves quickly into darker territory, true to its 'Night' name. The heart brings birch (a smoky, slightly leathery-tar note), benzoin (resinous and vanilla-like) and amber together for a warm, smoky-sweet transition from the raspberry top. The base is the most elaborate in the whole Le Chameau range surveyed here: vetiver, guaiac wood, patchouli, cedar, musk, moss, tonka bean and vanilla combine for a dense, long-lasting woody-amber-gourmand finish with real complexity and depth. Overall this reads as a fragrance built almost entirely around its base - a fleeting raspberry-birch-benzoin opening quickly cedes to an eight-note woody-amber-sweet drydown that dominates the wear experience, making Magical Moment Night the most substantial and long-lasting of its trio.
