Only Desire opens with Bergamot, Pear, Banana, and Aldehydes, settles into a heart of Jasmine, Cumin, Vanilla, and Rum, and dries down to a base of Vanilla, Amberwood, and Praline. Diesel's Only Desire carries a Statement verdict, a sweet-led wear.

Diesel's first fragrance made only for women is a vanilla with a metal edge, and the banana in the opening decides whether you love it or leave it. Distinctive rather than crowd-pleasing, and the sculptural orchid bottle is doing a lot of the talking.

About

Aldehydes land first, bright and faintly metallic, with a ripe banana and pear accord underneath that some wearers read as playful and others as plainly synthetic. The heart is where the concept lands: a powdery vanilla orchid threaded with jasmine, rum and a whisper of cumin, cool and creamy at the same time. It settles into bourbon vanilla, praline and ambery woods, sweet but lighter than the packaging implies. Early wearers agree on the vanilla and disagree on almost everything else.
