Gucci's 2026 Flora addition takes the vanilla orchid signature of the 2024 Gorgeous Orchid and turns the volume up. The opening is a salty ozonic wash, more mineral sea air than citrus, which gives the first ten minutes a bright, slightly aquatic snap. That drops fairly quickly into the heart, where vanilla orchid does most of the work: creamy, faintly banana-like, more floral than confectionery. The base is where the Intense earns its name, with a dark cocoa accord that grounds the sweetness and pushes the drydown towards something warmer and rounder than the original ever was. Performance is the clearest gain. Community reports consistently put it several hours ahead of the 2024 version, with sillage strong enough to fill a room in the first hour before settling closer to the skin. The trade is airiness: several wearers who love the original find this heavier and less solar, and a few report the ozonic top note all but disappears on skin. Wear it for evenings out, dinner, and cooler-weather days when you want something enveloping; it can read cloying in real heat.
